  1. I thought I was fairly well prepared for the exam, but I should have started 6 months ago because there was a lot to learn in a short span of time. This course has been a great help to prepare me for the exam. The mock exams were more difficult than the actual exam. Overall, I feel so much more knowledgeable about diabetes by studying and glad to have gone through all the material. Even though I don’t know everything, I know where to find the information. Esmond is a great teacher and so knowledgeable about diabetes. THANK YOU for putting this course together! Well worth the money.

  2. I felt very unsure after the exam, but I would not have been half as prepared if I didn’t take this course. The cheat sheets and practice exams are extremely well done. There’s simply so much to know. I was comfortable with the CPG, it was the updates on SMBG, Ramadan, and medications I didn’t study enough. I still don’t understand the rational behind the new SMBG guidelines to be honest.
All in all, will definitely recommend it to future examinees!
    Thank you Edmond.

  3. I thought I should have studying earlier. There was a great deal to absorb. Your package D helped me focus on important areas to concentrate on

  4. Hi Esmond,
Thank you for the wonderful course,
I finished my exam 30mins early and your questions are harder then CDE exam.
I got my test results today and found that I PASSED the exam.
I would recommend your course 100% to everyone who wish to write CDE exam.
    Again Thank you,
    Prem

    1. Hello Prem, congratulations on attaining your CDE! Not everyone passes so it’s an achievement worth celebrating! Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate them. I will be sending out a mass email later to tie up a few loose ends. Also remember that just because the course is over it doesn’t mean you can’t contact me. If you have an interesting case you want to share please feel free to email me.
      Thanks
      Esmond

  6. Got my result on June 30th. So happy that I passed this exam on my first attempt. I’ve just hit my 25 year mark as an LPN and now have my CDE designation. I appreciate all the information, that is available in such an organized fashion, within your study course Esmond. Thank-you!

    1. Hi Heather, congratulations on passing the exam and hitting your 25 year mark for being an LPN. I will be sending out a mass email later to tie up a few loose ends. 7. Hi all.

I’m curious to know how many of you are planning to recertify by re-writing the exam & how many are going to do the continuing education portfolio instead?

For those of you who’ve already had to recertify & went the route of the portfolio, what did you do to maintain your certification? Any ideas for projects to take on or continuing education?

I know it’s a ways away for those of us who just wrote/passed the exam, but it never hurts to get a head start on it. Thanks!

    1. I recertified the portfolio route once and although i saved everything I did and read over the five years it took me THREE SOLID DAYS to get it all together and organize.
It is really hard to qualify using the portfolio and you have to do extra work to make sure if they dont accept something you have a back up. I have decided to study instead and to be honest the intense study review is good for me there is so much to forget and relearn. So REALLY look at what you need to do for the portfolio and I would suggest if going this route track it MONTHLY or take a week off before it is due to put it all together. It is insane if you ask me.
